There are no programs or divisions available at the moment. Please contact your club administrator with any questions.

We have compiled a list of the Frequently Asked Questions here.  There are some things we are unable to determine until registrations are complete.  These may include days of games and practices, location of away games.  When will practices be held, who is my child's coach.  Some of this information is determined by other leagues as well.  (Eg.  We have 4 minor league teams but another league has 2, we will do a schedule that encompasses them into our schedule)

If you cannot find the answer you are looking for please feel free to contact us.

CAN I JOIN ANY LITTLE LEAGUE PROGRAM?
Each Little League program is organized within a community. As part of a league's annual charter and Maryland District 7 Administrator, boundaries are established. These boundaries encompass physical address and/or school attendance.  It is only from within this territory that the league may register its players.

HOW DO I FIND THE LEAGUE THAT I LIVE IN?
You can visit the following website and enter your home address or child’s school address:  http://www.littleleague.org/leaguefinder.htm

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?
You can register on our website by clicking the My Account link at the top of the page.  If you do not have an account, you will need to create one.  We will hold a few on-site registrations each season.  Dates, times and location will be posted on our website.

HOW LONG IS THE SEASON?
The Spring season games regular games are played from Opening Day in April through the middle of June.  Fall season games are through the last Saturday in October.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL MY CHILD NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
You must purchase a glove and baseball pants for your child.  Cleats are not mandatory for PeeWee through Instructional, however, it will help prevent slips on the field.  Minors through Senior Leagues must wear appropriate cleats.  Metal cleats may be worn at the Junior/Senior Level of play only.  USAA approved Bats only and Helmets are your preference.  The league does have them for use during practice and play.  All catchers MUST wear an athletic cup.

WHEN ARE PRACTICES?
Practice schedules will be distributed via game changer app after teams are formed.  We are unable to develop them until we have completed registration and skills evaluations.  This is due to the fact that we will not know how many teams are in each division.  Practices usually begin on or about March 15th for the Spring Season and August 15th for the Fall Season.

WHO HAS TO HAVE A SKILL EVALUATION?
All divisions above t-ball will have an evaluation.  This will ensure that teams are drafted in a manner that will not have one team over power any other team.

WHEN ARE EVALUATIONS?
Evaluations are conducted the middle of March weather permitting.

WHAT IS A DRAFT?
After evaluations, coaches and Division Vice Presidents as well as either the President or Executive Vice President will conduct a draft within a few days of the evaluations.  This draft is conducted in rounds until all players have been put on a team.

WHEN DO GAMES BEGIN?
Games can begin as early as the second week of April.  Opening day will be scheduled, but games may begin prior to that date.

WHAT DAYS DOES MY CHILDS DIVISION PLAY?
Days of play cannot be determined until we know the number of teams we have and what other leagues we will be playing against. All divisions may have to travel to adjoining leages.

HOW MANY GAMES ARE PLAYED EACH WEEK?
Typically, all divisions will play 2 games per week. No games are played on Sundays.

ARE THERE PRACTICES ONCE THE GAMES START?
We do not typically hold practices once games begin.  On an occasional basis, coaches may request a special practice to ensure the players are learning the basic skills of baseball, sportsmanship and friendly competition.

WHERE WILL GAMES BE PLAYED?
Home games will be played at Stethem Park, 4250 Piney Church Road.  We often interleague with other District 7 leagues.  Games could be played in Hughesville, Upper Marlboro, Lexington Park, Dunkirk, and Patuxent.  This is determined division by division.  Most Pee Wee and T-Ball games are played at Stethem Park.

HOW DO I KNOW IF FIELDS ARE CLOSED?
Charles County Parks and Recreation Division monitors all fields.  They typically make a decision by 3:00 if the fields will be closed.  It will be posted on our website and Facebook pages by 4:30.  You may also call the league phone number 301-705-5337.

WHAT ARE THE ALL-STARS?
Little League has all-star teams in the Minor through Senior Divisions.  These teams are derived from the top 12 players at that level as voted on by the coaches in that Division.  The level of play begins at the District 7 level, winners advance to the Maryland State Tournament.  Any team winning the State Tournament will advance to the Regional Level of Play.  Should a team win the Regional Tournament, they will then advance to the World Series.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL STARS?
Players must be playing in their legal boundaries as determined by Little League East Region and the leagues boundary maps or have legally obtained a waiver to play outside their home leagues.  Teams must play a minimum of 12 regular season games for any player on the team to be eligible.  Players must also participate in a minimum of 8 regular season games.  The all-stars are a commitment by coaches, parents and players.  This commitment is a very rewarding experience for all.
